A Sufi Folktale<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A certain man was believed to have died. When he was being prepared for burial, he revived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He sat up, but he was so shocked at the scene surrounding him that he fainted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was put in a coffin, and the funeral party set off for the cemetery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just as they arrived at the grave, he regained consciousness, lifted the coffin lid, and cried out for help. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mourners said, \u201cIt is not possible that he has revived because he has been certified dead by competent experts.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut I am alive!\u201d<\/em> shouted the man. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He appealed to a well-known and impartial scientist and judge who was present. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The expert turned around and counted the number of mourners. After that he addressed the mourners and asked: \u201c’Now, we have heard what the alleged deceased has had to say. You fifty witnesses tell me what you regard as the truth.\u201d<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe is dead,\u201d<\/em> said the witnesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBury him!\u201d <\/em>said the expert. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And so he was buried. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Death is nothing but a falsehood that the body falls victim to. Everyone is busy with the physical while the Eternal truth remains hidden in the metaphysical. That Eternal Truth is our Immortal Soul and its journey towards the Divine by halting in one body to another.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
